Is Escapade free?
Yes. Escapade is free to download on the App Store, and the creator tours on this site are free to walk.
Do I have to keep looking at my phone?
No. Stories start on their own when you reach each stop, and keep playing in the background or in silent mode. Phone in the pocket, eyes on the street.
Can I change the route?
Yes. Swap stops, change the order, or add a place you read about. With My Tours you start from a blank page: pick a start point, a topic and how long you have, and Escapade builds the walk.
Who narrates the tours?
Creator tours are written and narrated by the people who made them, in their own voice. Tailored tours and My Tours are narrated by Escapade's guide, and you can choose the voice.
Which cities can I walk?
Any city. Escapade finds the places worth stopping at wherever you start, and tells their stories. New York, Paris, Tokyo, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Venice have city guides on this site, and New York and Paris have creator tours.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone, on iOS 15.1 or later. Android is on the way.
What languages are the tours in?
